Early in 2004, the IRS published rules and guidelines for real estate depreciation methodology. Also known as cost segregation, this powerful tax saving tool for property owners went from being a fringe concept to a mainstream, accepted practice almost overnight.
Suddenly, significant tax savings were available to anyone who owned or managed a positive income generating property, from doctors to restaurant owners to landlords to others. To be able to properly access these savings, however, required expertise not only in income tax but also in such diverse fields as engineering, real estate and construction management.
That’s when a veteran group of CPA’s and construction managers came together to form Winchester Bay. Our team has all the necessary experience, skills and tools to help you understand and harness the financial power that can come from proper application of IRS-approved cost segregation. We provide this valuable resource not only to property owners themselves, but also to the CPAs and accounting firms who already represent many of these individuals.
Since our beginning in 2004, we have been able to manage explosive growth and yield literally millions of dollars in tax savings for our clients. Our commitment to you is simple: that you receive the benefits of being a property owner and reach the potential of your tax-saving present and future.
Our team comes is a diverse team of professionals that come together to give you a unique blend of skills that will help you get the most value out of your property.
